Go To ‘Wasteland’ With Brent Faiyaz
The R&B star unveils his latest album, “Wasteland,” featuring Drake, Alicia Keys and more.

Brent Faiyaz recently released his highly-anticipated album. He announced the release of “Wasteland” via Instagram last month.
The Colombia, Maryland-native released an album trailer that included a list of exciting collaborators. “Wasteland” features collaborations from many mainstream artists from Tyler the Creator, Alicia Keys to Drake. It is also executive produced by Jonathan “Freeze” Wells.
Leading up to the release, Faiyaz popped up in New York City and Atlanta, telling fans to meet him at a predetermined location that the singer shared on Instagram. Leading to thousands of fans piling into the street all cheering for him.
Faiyaz released his latest single, “PRICE OF FAME,” on June 23. He wanted the project to address the ups and downs of success. Brent unpacks the perception of fame and how it rarely matches reality, adding outward success and fame aren’t everything.
"They don't know why they want it (I know, look)/They don't wanna give you time to heal/They just wanna bleed you dry, for real," Faiyaz alludes to the idea that once you’re viewed as successful, people can take advantage of you if you’re not careful.
“Wasteland” includes previously released singles “Gravity” featuring Tyler, the Creator and “Wasting Time” featuring Drake and the Neptunes.
