A Portland woman arrested on allegations of entering the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 appeared via videoconference in federal court in the District of Columbia on Tuesday.
Lilith Saer also stands accused of remaining in the Capitol with the intent to impede or disrupt an official proceeding in a restricted building and disorderly or disruptive conduct.
She did not enter a plea on Tuesday.
She had made her initial appearance in federal court in Portland on Friday and was released pending trial, with the order to appear in federal court in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
Court documents show that the FBI’s Portland office received several tips related to Saer at the Capitol. The documents said Saer, who also goes by Drakken Saer and Ian Anton Coutu, has distinguishable blue hair and was associated with the conspiracy group QAnon.
One tipster sent the agency a Twitter post showing photos of Saer in the Capitol and said they personally knew Saer. Investigators could not initially confirm, in early 2021, if Saer was inside the Capitol, but they found images in March 2022 that allegedly showed Saer among a crowd of rioters outside of the Capitol on Jan. 6.
The FBI also found videos on Twitter from the day before the insurrection that showed Saer in Washington D.C., the documents said. Additional footage allegedly showed Saer, with a Trump 2020 flag, entering the building through the Senate wing and walking through the House wing as well as the Hall of Columns of the Capitol. She wore the same clothes, investigators said.
Fidel Cassino-DuCloux, a federal public defender representing Saer, did not respond to a request for comment.
Correction: An earlier version of this story said Saer appeared in federal court in Oregon Tuesday. She made her first court appearance in Portland Friday and later appeared in federal court in the District of Columbia on Tuesday.
