NCBWA names Jung to all-America first team

DALLAS – Back-to-back first team NCBWA All-American. That's what Texas Tech sophomore Jace Jung is following Wednesday's announcement by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
This is Jung's second All-America nod of the 2022 postseason as he was named a second-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball on June 2.
Jung was named to the NCBWA's first team on Wednesday after two rounds of voting by the organization. There were 78 baseball student-athletes that comprised the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's 23rd Annual All-America first, second and third teams. The organization made the same choice in 2021 for Jung, as it was one of four organizations that made him a first-team choice a year ago.
