Petunia’s Rescued Friends, an Animal Rescue in Castroville, Texas, was on its way to the vet after rescuing a puppy that had been abandoned in a dumpster when she almost stopped breathing on the car ride there. Without knowing what had happened, they had to instantly pull to the side of the road and help her. In a TikTok video with a whopping 4.4 million views, they miraculously got the whole rescue on video!

Often when puppies are in respiratory distress, swinging is a technique that can help resuscitate them, as shown in the viral TikTok video. By holding the puppy tightly and swinging them towards the ground, gravity will hopefully clear their mouth and throat, allowing them to breathe properly again.

Homeless and abandoned dogs often live difficult and painful lives that are cut short due to starvation as well as cruel, ineffective methods of controlling the stray animal population. Trouble’s big day finally came! She found her forever human and gets to explore her new, loving, safe home. When her new foster parent arrived at the rescue, she jumped all over him with excitement, almost as if she knew it was her lucky day. Thanks to Petunia’s Rescued Friends, her life was forever changed.

All animals are rescued from various circumstances and are in our care until they are adopted by their new forever family!
