Memphis Grizzlies sign John Konchar of Purdue Fort Wayne to contract extension

John Konchar didn't come from a basketball factory, but he's finding a secure home in the NBA.

The 26-year-old Purdue Fort Wayne alum has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Memphis Grizzlies that pays him $19 million.

The 6-5 wing has been with Memphis for three seasons, becoming a regular rotation player in 2021-22. He appeared in 72 games last season, starting seven, and averaging 17.9 minutes, 4.8 points and 4.6 rebounds.

His contract for 2022-23 had been for $2.3 million with a non-guaranteed $2.4 million for '23-24.
