The Wichita Police Department (WPD) is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in an alleyway in Wichita overnight.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 500 block of north Ash, near Central and Grove.
Officers discovered the body of Shana Hines, 50, in the alley. She was prounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation does not suggest foul play in the death.
The investigation continues as they awaite toxicology reports.
