Local radio personalities featured in Kentucky Living

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Two of our local radio personalities are featured in this month’s issue of Kentucky Living!

Tony Rose hosts the Tony Rose Morning Show on D93, Bowling Green’s Classic Rock. He’s been in radio for nearly 20 years, covering monumental stories like the December tornadoes and raising thousands of dollars for the non-profit Stuff The Bus.

Glasgow native Kellie McKay started doing radio in 2000 with Commonwealth Broadcasting. Over 20 years later, she’s the host of the shop local show on Nash 103.7. The show features different local businesses around southern Kentucky and parts of northern Tennessee, and encourages people to support businesses in their communities.

“Radio’s magical. It’s truly the theater of the mind. You know every day we’re able to connect with people on a one on one basis. It’s always mind-blowing to know when people think about radio in Kentucky, I’m one of the names that comes to mind, so it’s always flattering,” said Rose.

“It kind of took my breath away just a little bit. Seeing radio personalities that have been doing this for way longer than I have, for me to be on that list, it took my breath away,” said McKay.

Kentucky Living is a statewide magazine that has over one million readers every month.
