LARRY MOORE IS RETIRING AFTER 14 SEASONS WITH HARRISBURG HIGH SCHOOL A CEREMONY HONORED MORE TODAY INCLUDING SPEECHES FROM FORMER PLAYERS COACHES AND CITY LEADERS PLAYERS TOLD STORIES. Harrisburg basketball coach, Larry Moore retires
Harrisburg's Lady Cougars head basketball coach, Larry Moore, is retiring after 14 seasons with Harrisburg High School. A ceremony honored Moore on Wednesday, including speeches from former players, coaches and city leaders. Players told stories of how Moore stepped in to keep them out of trouble and off the streets and made them part of his family. Moore talked about his role as a coach and how it helped him connect with the community. "What a way to go out. It showed me and a lot of people that the game is minor. It's about how much you love and help the kids, and everybody really cheers for the kids in the community," Moore said. After 30 years of coaching, Moore said he is running an entertainment business.
