A Barry man is facing charges for possessing and disseminating child pornography.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State Police, and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant on Brandon M. Lord's home in Barry around 6:30 on Monday morning.
Lord, 28, was subsequently arrested on the following offenses:
- Twelve (12) counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography,
- Unlawful Possession of Child Pornography
- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
- Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Lord is accused of possessing and disseminating videos, via an electronic device, of children under the age of 13 years old engaged in various sexual acts.
The investigation began in May of 2022, when information was received regarding the possession and dissemination of child pornography. The investigation was forwarded to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department for further investigation.
Lord is in the Pike County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
The investigation is on-going.
Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood said his agency recently joined the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, and is headed by Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Chief Deputy Zachary Orr.
The ICAC Task Force is a national network of 61 coordinated task forces, representing 5,400 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, dedicated to investigating, prosecuting, and developing effective responses to internet crimes against children.
