ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Charlottesville will open its brand new Sheetz on Thursday at 3510 Seminole Trail.

The store will open to the public at 8 a.m. and the grand opening festivities outside the store will be held at 9 a.m., with dozens of prizes awarded, including a grand prize for free Sheetz for the rest of the year.

Sheetz will also donate $2,500 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, which serves 25 counties and eight cities in Virginia through distribution centers in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Winchester and its headquarters in Verona.

On average, BRAFB provides nutritious food to 118,300 people each month through a far-reaching network of more than 200 pantry partners and nearly 200 program sites.

For those that like coffee and soda, the store will be offering those drinks for free for the entire grand opening.
