BURLINGTON, W.Va. (WV News) — Joyce Ann (Sions) Holroyd entered the arms of Jesus on May 3. Born July 12, 1944, she grew up in Burlington, West Virginia, and was a 1962 graduate of Keyser High School.
A dedicated military wife and artisan, she sold her beautiful folk art at the Burlington Apple Harvest for many years and crocheted hundreds of blankets for pregnancy and senior centers. She was a member of First Baptist Orlando, Florida.
Preceded in death by her parents, Haven and Twila Sions, first husband, Capt. Samuel Umstot, her son, Gregory Umstot, and stepson, Robert Holroyd.
Survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Tom; daughter Ann (Dan); stepdaughter Deb (Ed); sister Shelby (Dewayne); brother Haven (Jackie); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, dear friends and loving family.
We are comforted knowing her healing is complete and look forward to our reunion in eternity. To God be the glory for all He has done!
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Church 20121 Knobley Road, New Creek, WV 26743
