A Buffalo man has pled guilty to charges stemming from an incident in Olean.
In the early morning hours of June 19, 2021, law enforcement officers encountered 28 year old Girard Jackson on the 500 block of West State Street in Olean. They executed a search warrant and located a loaded Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol as well as methamphetamine and cocaine.
Jackson pled guilty Wednesday to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The charge carries a mandatory minimum of five years with a maximum of life imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
Sentencing is scheduled for September 27.
