An exciting array of artwork by nearly 50 artists from around the region is on display at the Carbon County Arts Guild galleries through July 26. Bidding on the 55 pieces opens at 7 p.m. July 9 via Handbid, an online auction platform, and wraps up at 7:30 p.m. July 26. Those who can’t get to Red Lodge to see the work in the gallery, can still join the excitement by viewing and bidding on the auction art online.

The Arts Guild hosts a ticketed Kick-off Bidding Party from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 9. Guests will have an opportunity to get a close-up view of the art, register to bid, and enjoy the camaraderie of artists and guests. The festive evening includes heavy appetizers by Samurai Sue’s Everyday Food, live music by Charlie Brandine.

The Quick Finish features artists Jerry Inman, John Potter and Tom Wolfe, who will paint from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and sell their finished works that night. Proceeds from the Quick Finish support education and scholarship programs at the Arts Guild, and a percentage will go towards the Carbon County Disaster Relief Fund, to help victims of recent flooding in Red Lodge.

According to CCAG director Kim Kapalka, water from Rock Creek flooded participating artist Terri Malucci’s cabin and claimed around three dozen trees and the land they were perched on from a member of the art guild’s board. Belgrade artist Amber Blazina is donating 50% of the proceeds from her painting to the Guild and the remaining 50% to the relief fund.

Tickets to the kick-off are $50 and seating is limited.

Artists participating in this year’s Art in the Beartooths include: Ty Barhaug, Maggie Bassett, Amber Blazina, Marty Clague, Cheryl Davis, Ken Deaver, Thomas English, Barbara Garrett, Bonnie Griffith, Eleanor Guerrero, Terry C. Hall, Carol Hartman, Connie Herberg, Jackie Inman, Jerry Inman, Lance Johnson, Cheryl Kesler, David Kewitt, Mary Knapp, Ellis Knows Gun, Allen Knows His Gun, Laurie Kopec, Mike Kosorok, Tess Lehman, Susan Lyons, Helen Mackay, Terri Malucci, Judith McMurray, Tim Morgan, Maggi Neal, E.
