Wichita police: Alleged sword attacker in custody

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police say a man who allegedly attacked a person with a sword on Tuesday is in custody.

It happened around 1:20 p.m. in the 700 block of W. 2nd St. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Wichita Police Department Officer Chad Ditch tells KSN News that the attack was random. He also said the police don’t believe the man has any relationship with Friends University.
