Following approval from the New Haven Board of Alders, New Haven veteran police officer Karl Jacobson has been sworn-in as permanent Police Chief.
Jacobson pledged to support his staff and for the department to operate under full transparency serving the community.
He's a fifteen year veteran of the department. Previously he spent nine years on the East Providence Police Department. He hold's a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven.
