A New Hampshire woman was arrested in Concord, Vermont, on Monday after she started a car fire that eventually spread to a home where a family of four was asleep inside.
Vermont State Police said Nikki Lucas, 33, of Lyman, New Hampshire, lit a vehicle on fire at a residence on Leonard Hill Road around 11:30 p.m. The fire then spread to two other vehicles, a camper and a home where four adults were sleeping.
Investigators said Lucas also threw a large rock through the window of a neighboring home.
The Concord Fire Department was able to put out the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Lucas was arrested and transported to the nearby St. Johnsbury State Police Barracks for processing.
