Police say one person was killed in a shooting Wednesday morning outside of Anchor Tactical Supply in Springfield.

According to Springfield Police Department Lt. Nelson Kibby, around 9 a.m. multiple 911 calls were made reporting shots fired outside the store on South Campbell Avenue. When officers arrived they discovered one person with gunshot wounds.

That person, 25-year-old Colin Loderhose, was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead, according to a police spokesperson.

Shortly after responding to the scene, Kibby said a witness gave police a detailed description of the suspect's vehicle, including a license plate number, and officers were able to pull over the car at Bennett Street and Kansas Expressway and take two people into custody.

Neither of the suspects had any injuries.

Though Kibby said there were few details the police department could release about the incident at this time, he did say investigators believe the shooting could be related to some items that were stolen from the store Tuesday afternoon.

Anchor Tactical Supply sells equipment for first responders, including weapons. Kibby said members of the Springfield Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies in the area to buy from Anchor Tactical.
