Police searching for vehicle linked to York shooting that left one dead

YORK, Pa. — Update, 11:40 a.m. (July 7): The identity of the shooting victim has been confirmed as 27-year-old Shaheim Carr, who resided on the 300 block of West Philadelphia Street, the York County Coroner's Office announced Thursday.

Update: The York City Police Department is requesting assistance in locating a vehicle attached to the suspect from Wednesday's homicide. 

Police are looking for a gold 2015 Ford Fusion (Pa. registration KCF0338). 

If located, York Police encourage calling either number 717-846-1234 or 717-849-2219. 

The suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous.

On July 6 around 11:10 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 300 block of West Philadelphia Street, near Faith Avenue and Mack Way in York, according to emergency dispatch.

Upon arrival, police say they found a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities say the victim died from his injuries at the scene.

Detectives are investigating what occurred at this time.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, July 7, at 8 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. Autopsy findings will be released after the family is notified of the results.
