A Midstate baseball team has raised more than $5,400 for Tunnel to Towers Foundation in honor of a Tennessee police officer who died in the line of duty.
The Full Count Rhythm baseball team auctioned off special edition game-worn jerseys Tuesday night as a thank you to first responders—and in memory of fallen Hendersonville Police Officer Spencer Bristol.
Hendersonville PD says the money was raised for Tunnels to Towers, which paid off Officer Bristol's mortgage following his death in 2019. The foundation supports families of fallen first responders as well as Gold Star families.
Bristol was killed in the line of duty during a police pursuit.
