Kansas man dies after head-on pickup, semi crash

HARPER COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just after 11 a.m. Tuesday in Harper County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Nissan Frontier driven by Jimmy Anderson, 58, Wichita, was traveling northeast on Kansas 2 just  south of NE 140 Road.

The pickup crossed the center line and struck a 2023 Kenworth semi driven by Jimmy Ladner, 58, Medicine Lodge head-on. 

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Prairie Rose mortuary. Ladner was not injured. Anderson was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
