One man has died after a shooting late Tuesday night in a West Side neighborhood.Authorities say firefighters were called to the Ravenwood Apartments in East Westwood for a report of a fire, but once on scene, saw shots had been fired and called for police and SWAT backup.Officials say 47-year-old Alphonso Bowers was found shot and rushed to U.C. Medical Center but died from his injuries.Police have not released any more information, including any suspect information or if any arrests have been made.
