Northwest Patrol Officers were on the scene of a separate call at 6200 Colonel Glenn Road on Monday, July 4, 2022, when they were advised of several gunshots being fired in the apartment complex. Officers then discovered Titus Moton in the courtyard of the complex suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. MEMS responded and attempted lifesaving measures but the victim, Moton, died at the scene. Officers were then directed towards another victim, Brenda Anderson, near the entrance of the complex.  She was transported to UAMS Hospital for further treatment. The body of Mr. Moton was transported to the Arkansas State Crime for an autopsy and positive identification.

 

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Search Unit were notified, responded, and began a preliminary investigation. Detectives canvassed the area and spoke with witnesses.  Several witnesses were transported to the Major Crimes Division to provide statements. This investigation is ongoing, pending file review, and occurred in the Northwest Division.
