Investigators from the Fire Marshal's Office arrested 34-year-old Kurt Searles of Phillips for arson on Friday; a case that has been investigated for five years. According to officials, Searles was charged with arson and Conspiracy to Commit Arson for a fire at the Falls General Store in Farmington in April of 2017. The store has since been demolished. The Fire Marshal's Office has received recent information that has helped moved the case forward. Searles was transported to the Franklin County Jail and bail was set at $5,000 cash.The Fire Marshal’s Office is asking for those with any information about the fire to call their office.
