Frasier legend Kelsey Grammer has given a promising update for fans about the upcoming reboot.
The series originally ran for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004, and the revival is set to stream on Paramount+.
Appearing virtually on CBS's The Talk, Grammer revealed that the cast look set to begin shooting later this year, with the script for the first episode almost finished.

"There was a conversation about October," he said, when asked about when filming might begin. "Maybe a little later, I don't know. There's a couple of other things coming up. We've developed a couple of other projects that look like they’re going to shoot first.
"We're in the final stages of the final script for the first episode of Frasier. And it looks pretty good!"
With the reboot officially in the works, Grammer was also asked what the "secret" was to getting this '90s revival right.
He joked: "The key ingredient for the Frasier reboot is actually Frasier honestly. It was always called that, so it's me, the key is me. I am the key."

Earlier in the year, Grammer disclosed some of the plot for the new show on New York Live.
"Frasier's gonna change cities again," Grammer revealed. "He thinks he's gonna go off and do one thing, and sure enough, his life takes him in another direction and he ends up rich beyond his dreams."
Grammer also suggested that the revival will see the return of some of the favourites from the original.
"We think we're going to get most of the actors back, I'm certainly hopeful that we will, and I'm fairly confident that they'll come back," he told Collider.

"We have a story to tell – that can actually be told with or without them, honestly – but I want them back because that's what I always dreamed of. I thought we should explore all their lives in their third act, and so that is my hope."
The series will pay tribute to the late John Mahoney, who played Frasier's father, after he passed away in 2018 at the age of 77.
