RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Friday night into Saturday morning calls for mostly cloudy skies and overnight temperatures dipping down into the upper 40s to lower 50s, so milder than the previous night.

Saturday’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, afternoon temperatures rising into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees and a possible shower or two especially to the northwest of Metro Richmond from approximately 2 p.m. through 8 p.m.

High pressure will be sliding off the eastern seaboard and allowing for a significant warming trend to occur beginning on Sunday and the majority of next work week.

Sunday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and toasty afternoon temperatures, rising to near 85 degrees.

Heading into the new work week, next week, Monday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and very warm to hot afternoon temperatures, rising to near 90 degrees.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, with very warm to hot afternoon temperatures, rising to near 90 degrees and afternoon thunderstorms possible.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and very warm to hot afternoon temperatures, rising to 85 to 90 degrees.

Thursday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies, with very warm to hot afternoon temperatures, rising to near 90 degrees and afternoon thunderstorms possible.

Next Friday’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, with very warm to hot afternoon temperatures, rising to near 90 degrees and afternoon thunderstorms possible.
