UPDATE (7/6) – A Longview man was arrested in connection to the case.
Arrest warrants for 25-year-old Davadius Thomas for capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon along with several traffic warrants have been served by Longview detectives.
Thomas was booked into the Gregg County Jail with bonds totaling $1.25 million.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – A man was killed after a shooting in Longview on Friday, July 1.
The Longview Police Department responded to the 100 block of Queens Ct. around 11:48 p.m. due to a welfare check, said officials.
When officers made it to the address, they found a man, 30-year-old Kenny McFarland Jr., had a gunshot injury. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Detectives are still investigating this incident.
