A stunt driver who recently appeared in Grand Forks died at a Saturday air show in Michigan.
Forty-year-old Chris Darnell was driving his Shockwave Jet Truck at the event in Battle Creek.
Darnell was racing two airplanes at 300 miles an hour when his vehicle burst into flames because of a mechanical failure.
Darnell died in the accident.
Darnell appeared in a show at Grand Forks Air Force Base in mid-June.
He also appeared at the Fargo AirSho last year.
