Popular Clintonville pizzeria temporarily closes after catching fire

Harvest Bar + Kitchen has temporarily closed following a fire that broke out within the restaurant on July 1.

There’s currently no word on what caused the fire, which took place on Friday evening. Several Harvest patrons posted photos and videos that showed flames and a cloud of smoke on the roof of the building, located at 2885 N. High St. in Clintonville.

A Harvest representative told 614Now that the eatery will know more on its reopening plans sometime this week. The Clintonville storefront is currently closed, but other Harvest locations are operating normally.

“Evening from clintonville. We experienced a fire tonight.  All staff and guests are safe and were unharmed. We will reopen as fast as humanly possible,” a statement from the Pizzeria posted to its social media pages on the evening of July 1 reads. “Thank you all for your outpouring of concern.  We love what we do and we love our Clintonville fans and family.”

The pizzeria also noted that the Columbus Fire Department responded to the fire, keeping damage to a minimum.

“We are immensely grateful to Columbus Fire Department. Their swift actions prevented the damage from being too widespread and kept everyone safe,” Harvest’s statement reads.
