If you really want to see the night sky at its finest, you need to get far away from city lights. I found a Missouri cabin that is kind of hidden away from civilization where this is possible and yes, the star views here are epic.

I found this Black River Getaway cabin near Lesterville, Missouri on Airbnb. Here's how Jenni the host describes it on Airbnb:

The Black River Getaway was built in 2011 and will comfortably sleep six. There are two sleeping areas (private bedroom and a loft). Located less than two hours south of St. Louis, MO. Perfect for getting away from it all. The cabin has breathtaking views and is located in a serene environment; a private pond steps from the front door, a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and two docks.

Yes, the private pond is great and the paddleboat and canoe would come in handy, but it's the night sky views that impress me the most. See if you agree.

What is the nightly cost for having a quiet place like this to hang out? As of this writing, the cost is $132 per night. It's not common to find places away from the lights where you can really see the Milky Way like this place offers. If you have a telescope, you could really burn away the night hours here.
