(DELRAY BEACH, FLA) — Delray Beach police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed two people during an Independence Day block party Monday night.

According to officials, the shooting occurred near near the famous Sundy House, and police caution that despite the shooter being at-large, there is no threat to the community.

In addition, Lake Eola Park near Orlando was hosting its annual July 4th fireworks show when people started screaming, running  and jumping into a pond.

Apparently several people were jittery after the Chicago-area shooting and freaked out when they mistook the explosion sounds for gunfire.

Several people were injured as panic spread during the fireworks show.

There was no evidence of a shooting and minor injuries were reported.
