Every year, at least one private fireworks show ends up starting a fire.
That exact thing happened in Green Bay Sunday evening. Fire crews were sent to the corner of Dousman and Platten Streets at around 11:30 p.m. on the 3rd of July.
They found a fire had spread from a fence to a three-unit home.
While no one was injured, six people were displaced.
The Green Bay Police Department listed the cause as improper disposal of fireworks.
Meanwhile, in Kaukauna, a firework caused an estimated $20,000 in damage to the roof and ceiling of a building.
The explosion occurred at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday and started a fire on the roof of the building, located in Eagles Court.
There were no injuries reported in that incident either.
