Coroner identifies victim in Darlington County shooting on Bethel Road

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) —
One person has been killed and another is injured following a shooting in Darlington County Tuesday morning.

Deputies said they responded to a shooting incident around 1:40 a.m. in the 2400 block of Bethel Road in Hartsville and found two men with gunshot wounds.

Steven Stallons, 31, of Hartsville was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Darlington County Coroner J Todd Hardee.
Hardee added that the death has been ruled a homicide.
Deputies had blocked off a portion of the road.

Cars were also seen turning around and yellow evidence markers were placed in the road.
The case is under investigation.
ABC15 has reached out to the State Law Enforcement Division to learn if they’re helping in the investigation.
