The place in which you light fireworks is also important, especially this year since we are in a drought. Deputy Chief Zach Lardy says it’s best to stay away from dry areas. “We are in a significant drought this year. Luckily, we have got some rain recently, but we are not resting on that as the fix to the problem. We still could have a fire that spreads and we still could easily structures involved, we just don't want to see that happen in our community,” said Deputy Chief Lardy. This year according to BCFR one home has already sustained damage because of a firework.
