Driver located from Saturday hit-and-run in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) —
The driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run Saturday night were located after leaving a 38-year-old woman hospitalized.

On Sunday the adult male driver contacted police and is cooperating with their investigation.
Witnesses of the incident saw a white Nissan Altima strike the victim and flee toward Old Forest Road, but officers were unable to find the car on Saturday.

Charges are pending further investigation of the crash and consultation with the Lynchburg Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
