LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas State Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened on Interstate 630 Monday afternoon.

Officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation reported that a police incident started around 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities with the ASP and Little Rock Police Department said that gunshots from a vehicle in the westbound lane struck a car in a parallel lane near Curtis Sykes Drive in North Little Rock.

Police said that a backseat passenger in the target vehicle was struck in the leg and was taken to a local hospital. The victim’s wounds are said to be non-life threatening.

The Arkansas State Police said that their Criminal Investigation Division is working to identify the suspect who fired the gun.
