Gregory Waterman, 35, described as a transient of Portland, was arrested Sunday on charges of drug trafficking and possession of methamphetamine. Waterman was found carrying 20 grams of fentanyl, 12 grams of methamphetamine, and more than $1,700 in cash. The arrest comes after investigations of suspected contaminated batches of opioids were being distributed around the Portland area. RELATED: The five overdoes linked to contamination are still being investigated. Officials say it is unclear if the drugs in this arrest are connected to the five overdoses. No further information has been released as this is an active investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Portland Police Department.
