Marion Water Distribution Schedule Different This Week Following July 4

Due to the July 4 holiday, some changes must be made to this week’s water distribution schedule at the Old National Guard Armory on 131 Rochester Avenue in Marion.

For those with last names A-through-I, they can visit Tuesday from 9 AM-Noon and 2-6 PM.

Wednesday is a delivery day, and is an arrangements-only pickup day for citizens.

From 9AM-Noon and 2-6 PM Thursday, those with a last name J-through-R can stop in for water.

And from 9-Noon and 2-6 PM on Friday, those whose last names begin with S-through-Z can grab their allotment.

Visitors are required to show a driver’s license when picking up water. Officials are asking this water be used for drinking and cooking purposes.

Any special arrangements that must be made due to health or lack of transportation can be directed to Marion City Hall by phone at (270) 965-2266.

Crittenden County received critical rains over the weekend and particularly on Sunday, but water supplies remain low following the Lake George/Old City Lake complications that have developed over the last few weeks.

Remember: right now, every gallon counts.
