Funkhouser (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session sometime next week, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Funkhouser's injury has prevented him from getting in any work this season, but he is on the verge of getting back up on the bump. If all goes well with his recovery, he could be ready to pitch for the big club at some point in the second half.
