An armed man stole a dozen books from a Carlisle library this weekend in broad daylight, police said.
The man, who is reportedly in his 30s or 40s, was carrying a knife when he walked into Bosler Memorial Library around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Police said the man put the books in a backpack. When a library staff member asked if he was checking them out, he said “no” and tapped the knife at his side, according to police.
The man was wearing a gray shirt with blue around the sleeves and neck, police said. Anyone with information on the robbery — including the man’s identity — is asked to call Carlisle police at 717-243-5252, or submit a tip through CrimeWatch.
