Police say Kamaree Jichole Coulette, 22, is wanted for attempted murder after two people were shot and injured during a gathering at Eastwood Park off of Boulevard Road on Sunday before 11:30 p.m.
Coulette and a 21-year-old woman were arguing before the suspect pulled a gun and fired, striking the woman and a 29-year-old man who was not the intended target, according to police.
An initial investigation indicates the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Coulette and one of the victims.
Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Sumter Police tell us Coulette has prior arrests stemming from last September when she was accused of discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
WACH FOX News tried to reach out to people who live near the park, but they were too concerned for their safety to speak as Coulette is still on the run.
Anyone with information that can help locate Coulette is asked to contact the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700.
