There is something different about Mac Jones that should pump up New England Patriots fans heading into the 2022 NFL season.

Beyond his dedication in the offseason and continued hard work to improve on a successful rookie season, the Pro Bowl quarterback…yes Pro Bowl quarterback has been working on his body and looking pretty jacked up.

Like his predecessor, the man known as Tom Brady, the second-year quarterback has turned to eating healthy and working on his body to make him a more successful and durable NFL quarterback.

Working on his strength and conditioning as well as his dedication to nutritional values, Mac Jones is looking like a man committed to that Year 2 improvement the Patriots are counting on.  Take a look at this photo posted by Courtney Fallon on Twitter.

The hard work is just beginning for Mac Jones.  Now he must keep up the work he has put in as far as his strength and conditioning.  Along with that, the cerebral part of his game has to also keep improving, especially with more weapons around him.

Again, like Brady, Jones has made a commitment to forming chemistry with his playmakers this offseason.  With the addition of veteran wide receiver DeVante Parker, along with second-round pick Tyquan Thornton, the Patriots have added some unique weapons to the mix to go along with Nelson Agholor, Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith, Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne and yes, even N’Keal Harry.

Jones has held private workout sessions with Agholor and second-year wide receiver Tre Nixon which further showcases his dedication to improving as the man under center and as a leader.

Patriots center David Andrews finds this as no surprise as he gushed about the maturation of Mac Jones during an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Zolak and Bertrand” this past Friday.

"“The kid’s a hard worker,” Andrews said on the afternoon sports show.  “He works his butt off, day in and day out.  Sometimes I just try to get him to take a deep breath.  But that’s what you want out of your quarterback.“He works really hard.  He’s a tough kid.  It’s been fun for me the last year, year and a half, to get to know him.  I’ve got a lot of respect for how he does things and how he carries himself.”"

With some new faces on offense and the loss of Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Jones will face some challenges in his second season in the NFL, but what this offseason is proving is that he is dedicated and ready for those challenges as the New England Patriots are a team being slept on.
