The legendary emcees made a surprise appearance to honor Lifetime Achievement recipient Diddy.

Rap icon Lil Kim became queen of google searches following her viral performance at the BET Awards 2022, led by Golden Globe-winning actress and two-time host Taraji P. Henson.

According to data from Google, the legendary Brooklyn rapper was the top-searched performer at the awards ceremony Sunday night (June 26). The “Crush on You” emcee made a surprise appearance at last weekend’s festivities to honor Sean “Diddy” Combs–man of the hour and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient–with a musical duet that had audience members up and out of their seats.

The longtime collaborators joined forces for a performance of their smash 1997 hit single “All  About the Benjamins” (Remix ) before the Bad Boy Record founder was later joined by several other prominent hip hop artists for a medley of his songs, including Nas, The LOX, Faith Evans, Maverick City Music, Busta Rhymes, and rapper and politician Shyne, who also made the list of top searches during culture’s biggest night for his performance of “Bad Boys” alongside the music mogul.

For her performance, Kim wore a head-turning ensemble with a cutout and cropped blazer top over a black bodysuit. The “Lady Marmalade” musician paired her outfit with sheer black tights and silver bedazzled knee-high boots. Kim completed the look with light-reflecting sunglasses, black leather gloves, and blue hair. While the star was the top-searched performer at the BET Awards, she ranked fifth in top-searched red carpet looks.

The number one spot was captured by r&b songstress Summer Walker, whose outfit sparked controversy as many accused the “Body” singer of sexualizing the attire of indigenous people. The star was followed by actor Billy Porter, Saucy Santana, and Marsai Martin.

Searches also included Kim Porter, whom Diddy honored with an emotional presentation of “I’ll Be Missing You” with Evans and the Maverick City Music Choir.
