Thousands attend 2022 BG Thunderfest at National Corvette Museum

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Thousands attended Bowling Green’s annual Thunderfest at the National Corvette Museum to celebrate Independence Day.

While many came for the fireworks, there were plenty of food, games, and bounce houses, perfect for plenty of families.

Several festival attendees told us why this event and the Fourth of July are important to them.

“I was with my friends and family, and I was just having fun,” Jayden Todd said. “And I’m ready to celebrate the US’s birthday.”

“We’re so happy to celebrate,” Teaundre Suggs said. “We’re so glad that COVID is lifting up a little bit, and we’re getting to spend time with our family. We’re happy for the fourth, for sure.”

“I love just hanging out with friends and family, just enjoying fireworks, getting out and enjoy the weather and just enjoy what we have while we have it,” Trace Flannery said.

All proceeds from this event went to non-profit organizations.
