Day four of the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta continued the momentum of the weekend, and brought a big name to the capitol city on the music stage.
Kanawha Boulevard was rocking Sunday night, with performances by Matt Mullins and the Bring Downs, '80s cover band Hair Supply and ending with Rick Springfield.
The classic rock icon put on a show for the Mountain State, playing 17 of his best songs, including the one for which he is best known.
"Of course, his No. 1 hit, 'Jessie's Girl.' And I also love 'Love Somebody' and 'Don't Talk to Strangers,' " Harrison County resident Dawn Martin said.
The big crowds of the first three days continued in downtown Charleston.
Those who remember the Regatta's heyday said they were excited to see it back after 14 years.
"It's a good comeback," Mason County resident Tammy Severn said. "It's a good thing for the area, I think. It might be bigger than when it was in the '80s, maybe."
The final day of the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta will be on the Fourth of July. For a full list of what is planned, click here.
