A father is dead after trying to rescue his son from drowning at Lake Berryessa, according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office. Witnesses told deputies they saw 35-year-old Marciallo Perez enter the water to save his son. While his son survived, Perez was unable to swim back to shore. He was later recovered at 4:17 p.m.Sheriff's officials said it was the second drowning in six days at Lake Berryessa. People are advised by the Napa County Sheriff's Office to wear a life jacket when they are near or in the water.
