Pirates farm report for July 3, 2022: Connor Scott's 3-run blast lifts Curve to win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 37-39) dropped a 7-4 decision to Nashville (Brewers). The Indians belted 14 hits. DH Yoshi Tsutsugo was 2 for 4 with three RBIs. RF Cal Mitchell (.326) was 3 for 5 with an RBI. LF Ben Gamel (.226) was 2 for 5. SS Ji-hwan Bae (.307) was 3 for 4 with a walk. CF Travis Swaggerty (.272) was 0 for 5 with seven runners left on base. RHP Hunter Stratton (1-5, 6.44) allowed three runs on three hits with a walk and two strikeouts in two innings and took the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 37-38) won 7-3 over Harrisburg (Nationals). CF Connor Scott (.254) smacked a three-run home run. SS Liover Peguero (.278), 3B Jared Triolo and 1B Brendt Citta (.250) each were 1 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Luis Ortiz (5.03) allowed two runs on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts in four innings, earning a no-decision. RHP Jeffrey Passantino (1-0, 2.89) allowed one run on four hits with one strikeout in 3 1/3 innings to earn the win in relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 31-43) lost 10-7 to Hickory (Rangers). 3B Ernny Ordonez (.225) was 2 for 5 with four RBIs, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning. C Endy Rodriguez (was 2 for 4 with a two-run homer in the first. DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.267) was 2 for 5 with an RBI, his 30th of the season. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.306), RF Luke Brown (.286) and SS Dariel Lopez (.254) also had two hits. RHP Justin Meis (5.74), from Bethel Park, allowed one run on five hits with one walk and three strikeouts in four innings of a no-decision. RHP Garrett Leonard (0-2, 9.96) gave up three unearned runs in 1/3 of an inning and was dealt the loss.

CF Sergio Campana (.193) knocked in a run. DH Wyatt Hendrie (.221) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. C Grant Koch (.246) was 2 for 4. RHP Cristian Charle (2-0, 1.84) allowed two hits and no runs with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win.
