Packs of people filled the aviation museum in Warner Robins for their Star Spangled Spectacular.
At the patriotic event people donned red, white, and blue as they listened to the band Wellston Winds, gazed up at US battle aircrafts, and commemorated those who served.
The Wellston Winds, a band formed over 11 years ago, is made up of retired musicians, college students, and other professionals. They performed Saturday afternoon in honor of Independence Day.
Todd Howell, one of the musical directors for the Wellston Winds Community Band says, "I think it helps us remember the sacrifices that our freedom isn't free, and I think again, this gives us a chance to come together and celebrate who we want to be as Americans."
Howell says celebrations like these inspire people to make America the best it possibly can be.
Everyone coming together for a common bond in music, aviation, and more is really what the holiday is all about.
