One killed, one injured after car hits pole in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- A passenger is killed in a Clarksville crash and the driver injured.

A Chevrolet Malibu hit a metal utility pole on Dover Road near Charlemagne Boulevard after leaving the roadway just at around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, according to Clarksville police. The passenger, identified as 32-year-old Mitchell Hersey, of Clarksville, died from his injuries.
The female driver went to a Nashville hospital by LifeFlight. She is said to be in critical, but stable condition.
