TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The Wabash Valley Road Runners Club is hosting “The Mile” run at 8 a.m. on July 4.
The event starts one mile north of Memorial Stadium, on Brown Avenue, before ending at the stadium. Matt Sebastian, the race director for “The Mile,” said it’s become an integral part of his holiday plans.
“The best way I can describe this race is a tradition,” he said. “It’s the way I’ve started my 4th of July for over a decade now.”
It costs $20 to register for the race. Proceeds will go to various things sponsored by the club, like scholarships, the Lace It Up Kids running program and future races.
