Monday marks 26 years since two tornadoes touched down in New Hampshire on the same afternoon.They happened on July 3, 1997.The first twister, an EF1, spun up in Swanzey.Winds over 100 miles per hour caused extensive damage to the Cheshire fairgrounds.Twenty-five minutes later, an even stronger tornado formed in Greenfield which heavily damaged a summer camp, a sawmill and the town's recycling center. That tornado was later classified as an EF2 with winds over 135 miles per hour.

Monday marks 26 years since two tornadoes touched down in New Hampshire on the same afternoon.
